Dear Faster Fitness,

It seems as though every year, around September, I start feeling out of shape. I'm not sure if it's the changing of the seasons, the idea of putting on those heavy clothes or the thought staying inside all winter. Last year I joined a local gym- the ones with "unlimited use of equipment, classes, etc.". I was going to workout a few times a week. On day one when I went in, the treadmills, elliptical machines and stair masters were all taken. The only "unlimited" pieces of equipment that was available for me to use were the "weight machines". So I decided to go to an aerobic class instead. This, however, was not the answer. How do you say "Grapevine"? Needless to say, my monthly fee was withdrawn from my account. I tried to cancel my membership several times, with no such luck.

This year it was different. I swore off the gym and memberships. I was determined to save the money and work out on my own. Day one: treadmill for 15 minutes, followed by the elliptical machine, some light weights and abdominal work. Day two: it was happy hour with an unlimited buffet- skip workout. Day three: treadmill for ten minutes, no elliptical machine, and quick weights, ten sit ups and hit the showers. Day four: someone's birthday at work- everyone's going out to celebrate!

Obviously, I was not obtaining my goals. Something needed to change. As I was flipping through the City Paper on my doughnut break at work, I saw an ad for Faster Fitness. It promised results by working out for just 30 minutes three times a week! This is the answer to my workout! I phoned Faster Fitness and Travis explained a little about the program. I set up an evaluation for the following Saturday.

When I went in Travis explained how the program worked, the benefits of the program and the fact that this was a lifestyle change- not a diet and exercise program to quickly lose weight and get down to a size 2. I would gradually gain strength and flexibility, and by adjusting my eating habits, I would loose weight and gain muscle. That sounded too good to be true.

I joined for the first month and started working out with Francesca. The program was great, with a rotation of cardio and weights, all within thirty minutes. I started to feel better about myself. I thought it was too good to be true. Weeks went by and I started noticing that my clothes were fitting better. My "fat jeans" were falling off me, my lunch lady arms were becoming toned and instead of eating the unlimited buffet I opted for the salad bar. The results were gradual, but promising.

This is my second month at Faster Fitness and I can't say enough! It's amazing that in just thirty minutes three times a week I can feel this good. I was skeptical at first; however, I am a true believer now. The concept, the staff and the results are all amazing!

Thank you Faster Fitness!
