Dear
Faster Fitness,
Desperate for help with my physical well being and eating
that was out of control, I joined Faster Fitness. I must confess I had a real
attitude in the beginning. I was not convinced exercise of this short
combination was going to do anything to help my desperate weight gain much less
my constant exhaustion. I just know my days of feeling physically tired and
having aching in my legs, shoulders was here to stay with me for the rest of my
life. I had been walking for years both consistently and inconsistently.
Actually, when I walked in this pattern I felt drained and exhausted. (Probably
from being overweight as well as not having an allover physical workout).
None
the less, my family had been going to Faster Fitness for months and thanks to
their encouragement I started the program. There were a number of things I had
to free up to in those first few weeks.
1. I had to become focused and move exercise to the top of
my priority list. I was tired of making excuses; there was not enough time.
Anybody can make room for 30 min., 3 times a week, and this is what held my
attention to this program. It was such a short amount of time to devote to good
health.. (Almost a no-brainer).
2. I needed just as foremost a good healthy eating routine;
because I had to lose at the minimum 25
lbs, but ideally I wanted to lose at least 30 lbs.
3. Working one on one with a trainer (Luciana) was the key
factor to keeping you on track to obtain the above two goals success for your
health. You need the expertise of the trainer to keep the motivation moving
towards a total workout as well as being answerable and responsible to someone.
Their dedication to you and your program showed an expression of devotion. You
felt compelled to respond by trying to follow the guidelines they set up for
you to follow. Of course, if you fell by the wayside, they tried to pull you
back into focus.
My program started on July 29,2002 and the results are as
follows:
The first few weeks were
really hard work. Just concentrating on the exercise and
the
physical work - out of my body produced an exhausted yet energetic feeling. I
know
it is confusing when I say exhausted as energetic feeling,
but while doing the exercise you were pushed to a maximum physical limit, but
after your session was over, your energy and stamina was unbelievable.
Gradually the shoulder pains, back pains, and bone pains began to disappear. I
began to do things physically that I had not done in years.
The next most amazing thing was the weight loss I
experienced. The first month I lost 9.5 lbs. I could not believe I was losing
that amount and not feeling so weak, you could hardly function (as I had felt
on other diets). Also what was so amazing is I was eating healthy. Just
eliminating some of the carbohydrates I didn't need, and cutting out some of
the junk food helped me to achieve this goal.
Of course, I must admit the food diaries made you aware of
where you were making errors in your diet.
I could continue to list the many benefits such as lower my
cholesterol and blood pressure back to normal levels were also an important
outcome of this program.
I
would like to conclude by saying that in three months on the program, I have
lost 20 lbs. My physical stamina is 100% improved. All my vital signs, blood
pressure, cholesterol are in perfect shape. My mental alertness and focus have
improved (I can sit and concentrate on
paper work, reading, etc. now much better.)
It
is simply amazing that I have gone from a couch potato to a fitness minded
person with a weight loss of 20+ lbs in 3 months.
I want to take this opportunity to thank my trainer
(Luciana). She should be proud of what she has produced from this poor specimen
she was presented with in the beginning. I want to thank Travis for all those
assessments that made me aware of what was going on with my body, and being
confident to let me know; if I did what I was suppose to do, I would get
results. Also, the atmosphere in the workout center has been positive - this is
very important - when people come in, they need a positive and caring environment. Many of us really don't want to
do this, so we need to find motivation and enthusiasm when we get there to push
us toward our goals. Thank you Faster Fitness for giving me back a quality of
life. The main thing is not only have I achieved this wonderful success from
this program, but my family that got me involved is also reaping the benefits
of having aging parents participating in family health (I think they don't want
to take care of us in our old age and this is their insurance policy against
aging). Pretty smart children don't you think. Who says young dogs can't teach
old dogs new tricks.
I love it when my friends say "Look at you, where have
you been?" Of course I say "Faster Fitness" and they say,
"I am going to call them." I respond by saying, "Great give
Travis over there a call, he'll fix you up!"
Also a big thanks to Chris McNeil, the creator of Faster
Fitness, who came into my husband's life about 10 years previously just as he
was starting the program. We didn't need any references because he had
experienced Chris' expertise before. I am glad my husband is back, but I am most
grateful that I, Joan Brown, am on board of this program today.
Love
you all,

Joan
